INTRODUCTORY INFORMATION
The High Commission of India, Lusaka covers the regions within Zambia . Applicants who are residents may obtain passport/visa/consular services from High Commission of India, Lusaka, Zambia. Residents in Malawi may now contact the Indian Mission in Lilongwe (Malawi) at Riverside Lodge Opp. Lingagin Hotel, Lilongwe.
Applications for all passport/consular services (like issue of new passports, renewals and miscellaneous services on passport, attestation of documents, issue of visas etc) are accepted at the Consular Section of High Commission of India, Lusaka between 0900 AM to 1100 AM on all working days (Monday to Friday). Saturday and Sunday are closed holidays. No application is received after 1100 AM. The passports and other documents are delivered only between 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM from Monday to Friday.
High Commission is committed to providing speedy and efficient passport/visa/consular services to applicants. Towards this end, we have compiled certain guidelines , which give details of the documentation required.
You are requested to kindly go through these guidelines carefully. Following these guidelines/information would help us to ensure that you get speedy and efficient services.
GENERAL INFORMATION
WARNING If a holder of an Indian Passport acquires nationality of another country, he/she must immediately surrender his/her Indian passport forthwith to the nearest Indian Mission/Post abroad. Unauthorized possession an Indian Passport shall constitute an offence punishable under the Indian Passport Act, 1967. |
